Viagra Information |
What is VIAGRA®?
VIAGRA® is the #1 doctor prescribed treatment for erectile dysfunction (male
impotency).
How does VIAGRA® work?
VIAGRA® works by improving a man's response to sexual stimulation. VIAGRA®
increases blood flow to the penis, so that when a man is sexually aroused, he
can get and keep an erection.
How should VIAGRA® be taken?
This drug is taken by mouth as needed between four hours and one-half hour before
sexual activity (about one hour before is most effective). Take only as directed,
usually once daily as needed.
How successful is VIAGRA® in combating erectile dysfunction?
Up to 82% of men experience improved erections with 100-mg VIAGRA®. That means
that up to 4 out of every 5 men who try VIAGRA® benefit from it.
Are there any side effects to taking VIAGRA®?
The most common side effects of VIAGRA® are headache, facial flushing, and
upset stomach. Less commonly, bluish vision, blurred vision, or sensitivity to
light may briefly occur. In the rare event of an erection lasting more than 4
hours, seek immediate medical help.
How do I know if VIAGRA® is right for
me?
You'll need to consult with a healthcare provider, either in person or online,
to find out if VIAGRA® is right for you. It's important to know that VIAGRA®
isn't for everyone. If you're a man who uses nitrate drugs, like nitroglycerin
(drugs commonly used for the treatment of chest pains), never take VIAGRA®.
Your blood pressure could suddenly drop to an unsafe or life-threatening level.
VIAGRA® must never be used by men taking nitrates of any kind, any time. Other
medications may interact with VIAGRA® and change the way VIAGRA® works.
It's important to inform the doctor evaluating you about any medications you take,
both prescription and nonprescription.
How should I store my VIAGRA®?
Store at room temperature between 59°F and 86°F (15°C - 30°C)
away from light and moisture. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of
children.
